After years of drought sapped groundwater in California, water tables rose as a result of the last rainy spring — with the largest year-over-year water level increases seen in the Bay Area. A small but measurable percentage of Bay Area wells reached historic highs this year — more than in any other region measured by the California Department of Water Resources.
