Person in a bear costume faked attacks on cars for insurance payout, California officials say

Video was submitted to the insurance company that alleged to show the animal enter the car in Lake Arrowhead. Investigators with the state Insurance Department said they showed the video to a biologist from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife who “opined it was clearly a human in a bear suit.” Four people from the Los Angeles area were arrested on charges of insurance fraud and conspiracy.
