In the war against nutria, reinforcements will soon be on the way, thanks to new funding. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is slated to receive nearly $2 million from the state budget. The department also received an $8.5 million, three-year grant last month from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy. And members of Congress from the Central Valley want to send money to the state from Washington.
