Local plastics recycler faces accusations it mishandled toxic materials

A local plastics recycling operation has been sued by California’s Department of Toxic Substances Control over allegations the company processed toxic materials from the now-defunct Exide battery plant in Los Angeles County that it was not authorized to handle.
